Product Description The Tjernlund Dryer Duct Booster allows homeowners to dry their clothes faster, prevent lint buildup and prevent dryer fires. Dryers are often installed in areas of homes where they cannot work effectively, leading to longer drying times, high energy use and lint buildup in ductwork. The Dryer Duct Booster eliminates these issues. U.S.A. Dimensions L x W x H (in.): 14 x 10 x 10 3/4, Color: Chrome, Auto On/Off: Yes, Mounting Hardware Included: Yes

| Customer Reviews: booster fan November 13, 2009 K. Swarthout Product does what it says it will do. I have a duct length of about 35 linear feet, that includes (7) 90 degree bends. Drying time is now 1/2 of what it was before.
So far - working nominally May 21, 2009 C. Cottrell 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I would like to see more support on the Tjernlund web site as far as ducting specifications for hooking up to the fan and a copy of the owner's manual. The price seems high. I like the engineering in that the motor is separated from the hot air flow along with permanently lubricated bearings.
The setup is excellent. Install the system and plug it in with a cool dryer to calibrate the built-in pressure switch inside the fan unit. It is working as advertised.
The strength of the air flow seems adequate for my dryer. I hope that in addition to solving my roof venting need it helps dry clothes faster.

I bought this dryer vent fan thinking it would be a miracle solution to a long duct run that we have. So far the sensor that controls the motor has been hit or miss as to actually working when the dryer starts. I recently found out on a vacation that the unit was running nonstop for over 3 days!(It turned on somehow by magic!) The unit is installed by the book according to the specs I was given. I've made some calls to the company to troubleshoot and they have been really good. They are sending me a new controller so I will repost if that solves the problem. Otherwise I'm feeling like I bought a lemon and I wouldn't recommend it. (especially considering the price!)
