a sturdy well constructed little fan November 11, 2009 acenugget (Center Line, MI United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a sturdy well constructed little fan. It does the job and run rather quietly too. Only drawback is that there is no variable setting. A low and high option would make this fan perfect. I'm still happy with it even though it just has an on and off setting.
Fan died after three weeks of light use. August 6, 2009 Pop (New York) The fan that I received from Polsteins, was a black Wespoint fan, not the silver Lakewood fan as pictured. It worked for three weeks, until I plugged it in one day and it started to smoke and seized up. Stay away.
Could be quieter but still works well August 6, 2009 David A. Kukral 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for a practically silent fan - this is not it, but it is very close. In fact, I am buying another fan today!
Good for small spaces and travel July 1, 2009 Competition Rider (Va USA) I needed a fan when I travel to circulate air on my face, and to use to dry out my ice skates or wet boots. This fan does these limited jobs admirably. Plus it's small enough to pack in a suitcase. My fan never quit, but eventually the stand came apart from the stress of being jammed in a suitcase, hence my need to buy a replacement. Don't expect it to move air more than a couple of feet. My old one rattled slightly, but it was about the level of a snore from a medium sized dog so it wasn't horrible. If it does rattle, the construction is simple enough that you can dampen the sound yourself.
Good fan fpr what we use it for April 14, 2009 David E. Goad (NORCAL) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Used to cool my receiver in an enclosed TV stand. Bought one at Walmart while I was waiting for this one to show up. Got the Walmart version for 7 dollars. This one is in the garage as a standby. It's quiet, and keeps the receiver cool. That's all I cared about.
