This was on sale, so I gave it a whirl. I wasn't thrilled. The tape is thin, and the dispenser is unwieldy. It's good for minor things around the house, but I'm not confident it would hold up to major jobs like assembling and sealing moving boxes. I'd give this one a miss if you need to seal up heavy boxes.

the only con I can find with this product is that the cutter(sharp edge, teeth, whatever you call it) is not sharp enough.
I got it for around [...] so I don't really mind but it could be a pain in the butt when you are packing in a hurry. Other than that it's almost perfect.

Rather spend a few more buck and get the 3M tape. This tape is thinner,..so you get suck more often.
Good item if you cheap like me,...

It seems as if tape and I have an enduring relationship. Finding that just perfect dispenser is practically impossible, however.
This tape is just downright good and probably among the best available. It is strong but easy to cut to the right size with a sharp blade. Most tapes, however, do that. The tape lasts a long time. I have several boxes that have been sealed for over 10 years and each is as strong today as then. I guess you get what you pay for.
The dispenser on the other hand is mediocre at best. The cutting blade has to be just right or swearing at the device can cause the neighbors some concern. That's why I use a blade when cutting tape. The dispenser has one feature: it holds the tape when the tape is not being used. Threading the tape into the dispenser works O.K. but it is not a simple or lasting feature.
Best bet: buy the tape: it is the best. Forget the dispenser unless a holder is necessary.

I sell on ebay and need packaging tape all the time. This tape does the job just fine. It does rip fairly easily if you decide you want to use your hands rather than the dispenser. I like it and would buy again.
