| Customer Reviews: Scraping my second room now March 27, 2008 K. Levin (Oregon & Massachusetts) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a Zinsser kit that included their wallpaper removal gel (which I haven't needed yet as hot water and vinegar is working well), a "Paper Tiger" scoring tool, and this Paper Scraper tool. I prefer the Paper Scraper to the plain handled scrapers I use for narrower areas. I find I get less hand fatigue and have to concentrate less on avoiding digging the point into the wall as I always seem about to do with the regular scraper.
My only real complaint is that I need a new blade, and no one local seems to carry them. A basic blade I found at Home Depot fits, but is really too small, and my work is almost at a stand-still until I can find proper replacement blades. That's how I stumbled upon this review.
I had never scraped wallpaper before, but have nine more rooms to scrape in my old, entirely-wallpapered home. For the money, this tool is worth trying, but buy extra blades as soon as you decide you like the Paper Scraper and know you will need them.
Not great. February 2, 2004 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Works almost as well as a standard 4" long handle scraper. Almost, but not quite. Blade not sharp enough.
