Worth ten times the price! Don't paint without one of these. October 12, 2009 Deon Carpenter (AL, USA) This is a great tool that no painter should be without. I painted the interior of my new home with this product and I wouldn't be without one ever again.
Helpful Tips:
If you are getting paint on the ceiling just trim off the top bristles with a pair of sharp scissors, just the bristles not the plastic.
If you paint you ceiling first then overlap onto the wall about ¼ inch. With the modified pad you will leave a 1/16 line at the top of the wall and this looks great.
Use a paint brush to apply paint to the pad, never dip the pad into the paint. Place the paint in the center of the pad with the brush and then swirl the pad on the wall to get the pad completely covered. This will keep paint off the wheels and sides.
If painting baseboards use a drywall knife on top of the baseboard to give the wheels a place to ride. Use an almost dry pad so the paint won't run. It will take two coats. Wipe your drywall knife off after every move.
After completing a run go back and feather the outer edge with the pad so you will not see the trim line after you roll the rest of the wall.
This is a great tool for trim work August 26, 2009 Morganna Wolf (Portland, OR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm working on painting an old house right now that has lots of trim work (flat base molding, window, door jams etc.) This is a great tool for getting things painted quickly. I go though and hit the main face of the trim with this tool and where needed come back with a brush to get the detailed places.
Compared to just using a brush this helps the job go so much quicker.
Amazing! June 28, 2009 P. Cohen-Imach (NY) I love painting (& I do it at least once a year, since I've moved almost every year to a new place). I have no help from anyone...so I always try to find gadgets to make my job easier. Yesterday I found this little help to paint the edges of the walls & I just used it on my bathroom. IT'S AMAZING!!! Makes it soooooo much easier. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to do a neat job & without a lot of work!

This little thing is a pro tool in a dime store package. I tried the more fancy model before this and it was horrible. Luckily I got to try this one before giving up on this type of tool. I hardly reach for a brush in most edging situations now. This is not only great for edging but hitting tight areas above kitchen cabinets that are impossible to reach with a brush or roller. The best part of this is the quality of the pad. It's very cheap to replace, leaves a nice finish, easy to clean and also holds up for a number of jobs. There is a little bit of a learning curve with it though. Always use a paint tray. The plastic, deep well, Shur-line trays work great with it. If you can get good at using it though it will save you so much time and aggravation.
Amazing Product! March 4, 2009 S. Trout (Colorado) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is an outstanding tool that cut my job in half last weekend while I was painting a bedroom. I was so excited about this edger that I gave an extra one I had on hand to a friend.
I have to say that I don't understand the negative reviews for this product. Unless you're a complete moron, this little edger is a lifesaver. I'm not trying to be mean, but anyone can get great results with this edger.
I trimmed an entire room (where walls meet ceiling, around doors and windows and where baseboard meets wall) in about an hour. It would have taken me twice as long to cut in with a brush.
Note: I used a small plastic container full of paint and dipped the edger in for about 5 seconds as one reviewer suggested. I then scraped the excess paint on the edge of the container. I didn't think it was necessary to use a paint brush to apply the paint as other people did. As long as you don't apply a lot of paint on the edger you will get great results. A little paint goes a long way.
