The lights glow to the tips of the wings and it looks really pretty. The only thing I'm concerned about is not being able to change a bulb if one of them burns out. As far as I can tell, the butterfly itself is the bulb and you wouldn't be able to change it or fix it. But that's a guess, as so far, it's all good. The butterflies are nicely made and decorated nicely. My daughter said she wished the cord would have been longer though to reach the outlet instead of having it so close to the butterflies. The fiber optic lights around the wings make them look very elegant! If I could change anything, I would change the color of the wires from the usual Christmas tree light green to something lighter or neutral.
