Product Description Easily remove multiple layers of paint, urethane, acrylic, epoxy or enamel without the back-breaking work of sanding and chiseling and without the odor of other furniture strippers! Made with 100% American-grown soybeans, SOY-Gel starts to lift the coatings in minutes.
One quart gives you up to 50 square feet of coverage three times the coverage of most traditional strippers. Indoors or outdoors, you can be guaranteed a safe and easy restoration.
Ideal for lead-based paint removal. The lead becomes encapsulated in the gel, preventing airborne particles and allowing for safe disposal. Does not contain methylene chloride. Cleans up easily with water. Safe to use on wood, brick, stone, metal, plaster, concrete, and many other surfaces. Do not use on plastic, PVC, rubber or dry wall. May be used indoors or outdoors.

Perfet and so easy to use! November 19, 2009 Carolyn Johnson (Fairdale, KY) Easy on and easy off - great product and I'm a first time refinisher. Love this stuff.
It really works! October 16, 2009 madmama (New York) This is my first review ever and I order a lot of stuff over the net. I had to write how impressed I am with this product! I tried to stain my concrete driveway because I heard how nice it looked but I bought the WRONG stain and as soon as I rolled it on, my husband and I knew that it was a mistake! WE stopped immediately but now there was a large gray area of concrete stain. I went to the paint store and they sold me citistrip but they even doubt that it would work. The I read all the reviews and decided to return it and wait for this Soy-Gel stripper. When It arrived, I spread a thick layer on the paint and covered it with a plastic bag. Let it sit for about 3 hours. I first started scrubbing with a wired brush and it looked like it wasn't going to come off. Then I read the directions again and saw that I needed to rinse with water. Well.... I put the hose on full and shot all the paint off!!!! It was really cool to see! So... even though it was a bit expensive it was worth the 1 shot deal! Highly recommended!
Worth ever penny! September 23, 2009 Andrea M. (Atlanta, GA United States) I am in the process of stripping paint off of tile in my bathroom that was beginning to peel. I bought Soy-Gel after reading reviews here at Amazon. This stuff is amazing. You have to really goop it on there and let it sit for an hour or more and the paint just comes right off. I had to buy 2 quarts to get the project done, and its fairly expensive, but if you compare it to how much it would cost to replace the tile or by using a strong, toxic stripper where I'd have to invest in gloves and masks and open every window in the house, this is totally worth it!
Soy-Gel September 12, 2009 L. Alexander (WESTERLO NY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This worked pretty well. I had to use several coats, it doesn't work with one coat only as in their description, so the quart definately doesn't go far. It has NO bad smell, doesn't BURN bare skin so that is great. It is expensive, and only removes layers after several applications, but it does work eventually. You do have to watch and check when to remove the layers, it depends on outside temp and number of layers. I waited 12 hours the first application, but it had already dried, and was difficult to remove, I had to reapply more, so watch and check every hour or so. It does remove easily when it is still wet.
Worthless April 11, 2009 Jason Conlon (Warsaw, IN USA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this as an alternative to sanding off lead based paint. I thought this would do the trick but was a waste of time. First you have to paint this gel on the whole surface and then you are actually supposed to wrap everything in plastic that you just applied the gel to - what a pain! After all this effort and 24 hours of waiting, it made some nice bubbles, but that's it. I guess you have to use poisonous chemicals to get the job done.
