I had bought other steamers and searched the internet and finally found this Wagner Steamer and am so very pleased. I have not had it for very long and have used it to do tile floors, tile grout and am looking forward to using it for wallpaper removal, cleaning my self-cleaning oven floor and my glass shower door.
I have never had to use the three cups of water, in fact I put in one cup which is supposed to last 15 minutes and I will tell you I have a big kitchen and have done the floor and had half of that water left.
It is a bit unhandy to have to lift the unit up to the sink to empty it, but the other good things far outweigh this one negative.
I have never used a machine that gave this much steam. I let my machine cool overnight one evening and before I opened the water cap to empty in the morning, I pushed the lever for steam, and there was still a little puff of pressure left in there. Awesome.

Got this specifically for a move out cleaning. Immediately upon arrival I noticed that one of the attachments didn't fit, no matter how hard I tried the button wouldn't click because I couldn't push it on completely. Considering I managed to do that with the other attachments I think it was a manufacturing defect. Contacted CS, and after sending proof of purchase they said they'd replace the part...except they never did.
Forward 4 months and the power plug is broken, the grounding part just stayed stuck in the electricity outlet, I kid you not. Won't even bother to contact CS, I know they won't do anything.
I'm rather disappointed, next time I'll buy a different one.
As for performance, no complaints.

I got it for general cleaning. It's easy to use and makes it easy to clean everything at once. It squirts a little and I still have to wipe everything down and it doesn't last 45 minutes as the directions say, but it does get me to clean everything, which is a miracle in itself.
It's big and you have to find someplace to put it, but it's worth the effort.

I have never written a review before but I have to tell you, this is a GREAT product. The day I got it, I cleaned my ENTIRE house - bathrooms, showers, kitchen counters, floors, sink, upholstered kitchen chairs, my refrigerator (the outside)and stove top. I was a little leery of using a machine that does not require any chemical or cleaning solvent but it works - surfaces seems to stay cleaner longer! The HOT steam sanitizes and cleans without a soapy film or residue left behind. My ceramic tile floors have never looked better! It made cleaning the shower tiles and glass door soooo much easier (careful around caulked areas - it will start to come off). It is great for hard-to-reach areas like corners, under cabinets, grout etc ... I was most impressed when it was able to remove Gorilla Glue from my kitchen counter!!!! Gorilla Glue is impossible to clean up and my steamer removed it entirely! It also removed nail polish from my marble counter top (gotta love 7 yr old girls) and even rust stains in the tub! I had asked my husband to get me a simple floor steamer - I am so glad I got this instead. It is so versatile that I can clean most areas of my house with it (no hardwoods). It's simple to use, heats quickly and stays HOT. The only thing I would have done differently is ordered additional cloths. I don't want to use the same cloth I cleaned my bathroom with to mop the kitchen floor (the cloth can be machine washed which is convenient). Overall, this is a GREAT investment at an affordable price.

I was excited to receive this steamer, as I saw so many good reviews about it. Installation is not hard after reading the manual. It took a few minutes to heat up the water. In the manual, it said the it is ok that red light will be off now and then during the cleanning. However the lights constantly on and off, only 2-4 seconds interval. It turned out a lot of steam in the bathroom. and suddenly my smoke detecter was set off, and scared my 2 year old son. I had to close the bathroom door so the detector will not sense it. but after 30 minutes sweaty work, did not see any better becauase all surface is wet. have to use the paper towel to wipe it all.
BTW, the sound is very loud. Not good for self and family members.
I returned it. keep looking for good steam cleaner.
