Brother XL-3750 Sewing Machine January 31, 2010 Colleen Wilhelm (Port Angeles, WA) This machine works great for me right outta the box. Easy to thread and wind the bobbin. Thread tension is just right. Foot pedal is easy for me to control. I am very happy with my purchase of this refurbished machine. Had to replace my 31 year old Singer because it was stored with too much moisture in the air (good old Pacific Northwest). Otherwise it would probably still be working. I've made 2 purses so far and plan on doing a lot more. I recommend this machine.
My Granddaughter's Quilting Machine January 9, 2010 G. EDWARDS 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a Christmas gift for my Grandaughter. It is exactly what she wanted and she is thrilled with it. It was on her wish list(which is a great idea) and that made it a lot easier for me since she is in Washington State and I am in Fl.
Christmas present for daughter December 29, 2009 Susan K. May (Elsie, Oregon USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first thing that made me fall in love with this product was that after ordering it, it came to my house more quickly than it was estimated. I was very pleased with this as it was a present to my daughter for Christmas. I asked her how she was doing with it a couple of days ago and she is just as thrilled with as I had hoped she would be. The self-threading option was one of the best features in her eyes as she is a beginner sewer. I had read some reviews that the instructions were rather difficult to comprehend but she is having no trouble with that. The only problem with this purchase at all is the fact that she wishes she had more time to sew with it. I am very please all the way around with this purchase.
I would not recommend this November 25, 2009 Splenitive (Michigan) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I hadn't sewn in a while and decided to get an inexpensive, entry-level machine. This one was a mistake. The tension is completely messed up. Every time I have to change a bobbin I have to play with it until I've used half the thread on it before it finally gives me a decent stitch. I really wish I had bought something else.
Does everything I want it to do September 23, 2009 Daniel J. Keeler (New York, NY USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great sewing machine for the casual user. It does everything I want it to do. If I have one niggle, it's that the foot pedal could be a bit smoother.
