Excellent toy September 23, 2009 Diana Puerto (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have fun with my soundwave.Instructions are easy to follow and it really look like a satelite.
Hard to transform! September 4, 2009 E. Lea 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product for my 8 year-old son. We are very frustrated with the printed directions from Hasbro on how to transform the toy out of Robot Mode. There are no words, simply black and white photos that don't make a whole lot of sense. Very frustrating!
Another Transformer August 23, 2009 paul hanley (Midlothian, il United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have 5 grandsons so I buy a lot of toys, particularly transformers.
What I am noticing is they are becoming less well made and harder to
change than the older ones.
An interesting yet entirely ineffective toy. August 23, 2009 Jones Spirius (NY USA) For this review I will be explaining my thoughts on this representation of soundwave via amazon.com's star based rating system.
How much fun?
Soundwave is not fun to play with as he is basically bad in any configuration you can put him in. As a satelite he is unrealistic so that is no disguise and for a transformer that is a problem. His space cruiser mode is an attempt to stretch the satellite form into a third mode in order to call him a triple changer. This form is a simple wing shift that looks ok at best. The robot mode, though having potential is rather fragile and awkward which leads to...
How durable?
Soundwave is not durable. His legs fall off easily the satellite panels fall off constantly and the hair trigger on the missile makes it fire without warning losing that piece. Losing parts and a lack of solid engineering does not hold well for the next question.
How educational?
This toy is in no way shape or form educational. As stated earlier his satelite form has no realism to it so learning about space is out. His engineering is flawed without any solid structure and this flimsiness will only teach kids that this item was a waste of time and money.
Overall?
This is a bad toy that has completely failed ALL aspects of this review and therefore I conclude that this rendition of soundwave is not going to be good for kids or collectors.
Thank you for your time.
the puzzle that is Soundwave August 19, 2009 William Christopher Rosado 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I only have a few miner gripes w/ this toy. 1 i thought it should be a Voyager size toy, *like Ironhide, Starscream etc* but whatever. I wish he had more secure snaps or hooks to hold things in place better. but other then that i like that fact that he's a satillite more then a mass-shifting 30 ft robot, and a 15inch boombox.
