Product Description Elegant, modern 3-quart pitcher Space-efficient shape fits nicely in refrigerator Soft grip, contoured handle Flip-top lid for easy refilling Uses a BRITA pitcher filter Reduces chlorine taste and odor Removes sediment and other harmful substances. Includes pitcher and one filter. Tested and certified by NSF International
Amazon.com Review Eliminate 99% of the lead and reduce chlorine, mercury, and sediment in drinking water with Brita's Magnum II Filtration Pitcher. Larger than the standard Brita pitcher, it holds up to 80 ounces of clean, filtered water. Just pop the filter cylinder in the white plastic water reservoir, fill with cold tap water, and in just minutes the pitcher's brimming with healthy, great tasting water. Each filter--one comes with the pitcher and you can order others--lasts for 40 gallons of water. As an added feature, a filter replacement indicator relays when it's time for a new one. The sleek, clear plastic pitcher sports an easy-grip handle, while the white plastic lid features two openings: one for filling the pitcher and one for pouring. --Marianne Painter

Great product November 3, 2009 L. Yeaton This Brita Pitcher works just as my old one did, however it is much bigger which, for me, is great. Because of its size it might be a bit heavy for some to handle. I like the fact it is bigger because I use a lot of filtered water and I don't have to keep filling it as often as I did the smaller one.
Top Brita Pitcher but also Consider the Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser October 31, 2009 Neil S. Majd (Southern CA) Overall this is one of the best pitchers Brita offers. Its defining characteristic is its extra large capacity (reducing the number of times you have to refill it)
PROS:
It is Brita's largest pitcher (with a 10 cup capacity)
It is very quick and easy to refill (you don't have to remove the entire lid like on the older models)
CONS:
The pitcher can get VERY HEAVY when full because water is heavy (this might be a problem for children, elderly, etc.)
The reviews are true (you have to wait for water to sink to bottom before you use it or else the lid falls out and you get water all over the kitchen counter)
BOTTOM LINE: It is my favorite Brita pitcher because of its extra large capacity, but I would consider Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser in conjunction with this or as an alternative since 10 cups of water can get heavy and Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser is easier to use.
Better Than Tap Water October 6, 2009 Donna L. Watkins We had quite a "fancy" water purifier for many years and since we couldn't decide what to purchase to replace it, we ordered a Brita for the transition. It's been a good purchase since it makes the water taste good, but it seems the filter goes out way before the two month suggested change. It begins to taste "off" after about 5-6 weeks. There's two of us using it, me and my husband, and we do like to drink water ... but I would think it should last longer.
It's easy to clean and easy to fill. Nice design for its purpose.
I love this pitcher. September 23, 2009 Georgi A. Grigorov (Brooklyn, NY, U.S.A.) I have been using it for a year and it is still the same quality water comming out.
Superb.
NOT SURE July 10, 2009 GAB 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am new to filtered water, we've been buying bottled for years. What bothers me about this Brita pitcher is that the filter doesn't "lock" in place and I can see a gap at the top between the filter and the sides of the filter chamber. I'm sure unfiltered water just goes through there to the pitcher without going through the charcoal. I'm thinking of returning it.
