Cheap, and I don't mean the price. November 27, 2008 Nathan F. Yospe (Los Angeles, CA) I bought this as a replacement for a ball valve faucet that had a leak in the main joint. Based on the reviews, I expected something basic, but reasonably solid. The majority of this faucet is cheap, brittle plastic plated with some thin plating of what seems to be pot metal. The first one I got had a manufacturing defect in the sprayer, a hairline crack that leaked whenever the faucet was on. I returned it for for a replacement, but I have serious doubts that it will last long, given its horribly low quality.
Nice faucet November 16, 2008 RR (NM) I read mixed reviews on this, then went ahead and ordered it. I don't regret it. While plumbers like Delta, I've never figured out why. Price Pfister makes good stuff. No, water doesn't squirt sideways--not after I cleaned the screen out when some debris accumulated. And if it reduces the water pressure somewhat--so what? My wife only knows to turn a handle on full tilt. If this slows consumption a little I'm glad. I'd give this a five star but we were hoping for a faucet with higher clearance--not just a high arc. Apparently high clearance is hard to find.
these are $200 at home depot October 27, 2008 James Papas (Gold Country California) A very nice stylish and high quality setup. I personally am sick of the single handle, and was lookinf for the indivdual valves. What a great deal.
Leaky faucet! October 8, 2008 Nancy Noonan (upstate New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have actually had two of these faucets. The first was installed for a couple of years, and then we started having problems. Water leaked out through the middle and out the bottom. I complained to Price Pfister - and they were wonderful about the warranty. They sent a replacement faucet almost immediately. The only problem was, the second one did exactly the same thing. We replaced the washer in the center to no avail. Just last weekend, my husband had to take the floor out from beneath the sink, because so much water had soaked through. We bought a new faucet - and not a Price Pfister. The price does look inviting - but be careful that it does not cost you more than that in repairs.
Not as satisfied with this model as with other Price Pfister's in the house. February 8, 2008 B. Bowen (Napalm City USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I just installed this faucet. The install was smooth and easy as a faucet install could be. The first thing I noticed however was that this faucet did not feel as "substantial" as others. It felt more lightweight. I did not have any trouble getting the faucet to stay in place, with plumbers putty and tightening the nuts as per the instructions it sits on the sink as solid as a rock. I flushed out the lines also per the instructions. I took off the aerator and let the water run on each side for a minute or two. I replaced the aerator, turned on the water and was not satisfied with how the water flowed out I don't mean in the pressure or rate of flow but in the stream itself. It does not have a nice solid bubbly flow like most new faucets have. This one acted like the aerator was dirty/clogged and some of the stream shot out sideways instead of straight down. I tried some basic blowing out /cleaning and it helped enough in the water spraying sideways but the flow is still a bit choppy. Price Pfister pfaucets have a substantial aerator and the others in the house have a nice stream. I am also having a problem with some noise (hammer?) in the sprayer. Some suggest there may be debri in the diverter valve. All in all it looks good but there are those annoying faults that leaves me not completely satisfied like I have been with other Price Pfisters.
