Skip the bells and whistles.... November 12, 2009 morrison (Northwest) ...or, in this case, the electronic display and "sleek" design. This pitcher works as well as any Brita pitcher; there is a great improvement in the taste of our city water. The electronic display is supposed to display the percentage of time remaining until you need to change the filter. This display is of the quality of a digital watch you might get in a cereal box. It stopped working after a couple of months, and now flashes continously, which is a bit annoying. As other reviewers have said, the top cover pieces tend to flop off during pouring. Brita pitchers are great, but next time I will stick to a basic model.
THE LED INDICATOR DID NOT WORK. I REPLIED THAT I DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE FEEDBACK BECAUSE IT IS NEGATIVE BUT HERE IT IS! October 10, 2009 Daniel Desterdick 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
THE PITCHER IS GREAT AS LONG AS IT WORKS. THE ONE I BOUGHT DIDN'T WORK SO I HAD TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE. ONCE I DID THAT IT WORKS GREAT.
Britta Riviera, Chrome October 6, 2009 Thomas M. Keel (Atlanta, GA) With kitchens featuring chrome appliances, Britta has responded with a chrome product. In Europe, Britta sells pitchers in black; I was looking for a black pitcher at home in the United States, but could not locate one, so I saw this pitcher in chrome, and it fills the need. We have used Britta for years, primarily providing filtered water for brewing coffee. We drink two or more pots of coffee every day, and the Britta offers water without a taste of its own, allowing for consistency in coffee brewing.
Brita Water Pitcher Filter September 22, 2009 A. Herz Does not match as well as I thought it would with the rest of the stainless steel in my kitchen. Otherwise, the functionality is consistent with the rest of the Brita products I have bought. The digital filter timer is just time sensitive. It would be better if it actually measured the amount of usage you actually have left on your filter.
Awkward September 7, 2009 K. Martin (Jax, FL.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The filters are nice. I owned an older model that I liked but this one is a disappointment. The lids fall off, the water spills out and the shape makes it uncomfortable to hold the weight. Maybe it would be okay if you don't put it in the door of the refrigerator, but that is what the slim design is supposed to be for. I wish manufacturers would actually take their product home and try it before they market it. I'll probably be frustrated one day and through it out.
