Quiet, efficient air cleaner October 28, 2009 P. A. Kettlewell (Antigo, WI United States) I have had Hunter air cleaners for 6 years & this is the most efficient & quietest yet. Easy to clean, it sucks up & traps the animal hair, house dust & dander easily, making dusting a lot less irksome... 5 stars easily!!
Second one I've purchased October 18, 2009 njpsu (Chesapeake, VA USA) This is a very good and effective air cleaner for small rooms. You may want to check and buy some extra filters since I'm not sure this model, since I have a hard time finding replacement filters anywhere but online. You do need to ensure you change the pre-filter regularly to maximize the life of the HEPA filter. The unit is very quiet. You can hear it operating but the sound is that of a very quiet fan. You won't have any trouble falling asleep with the unit on in nearby. Very good unit, especially if you can find a sale!
ok for the price September 25, 2009 Mildred Bonazzoli I had an ionic breeze in the room for years. I put the Hunter in, after a week I put an ionic breeze in for two days to get the room clean of dusty smell, then I put the Hunter back in. It just doesn't work the same. It's more like a fan, and it's noisy. For a spare room with the door closed, it's fine. Don't buy it for any living space, the air doesn't smell refreshed nor does the air clean quickly.
Works Great September 13, 2009 Kevin H. My cockatiel releases a lot of dander during preening so I wanted a cost effective air purifier for his room and for that it works perfectly. After running for only a few hours I noticed a big difference in the amount of dust, and haven't noticed any bird dander accumulating since. It's also very quiet, even on the highest setting although I leave it on low all the time and it still does the job. I would highly recommend especially to those with pets. Can't beat the price
Love this machine August 27, 2009 C Tilly (MD USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We currently have four of these air cleaners in various rooms in our home since our children have allergies and asthma. The air cleaners are very quiet when run on low (which is were we leave them all the time) and not excessively loud on higher speeds. Quick set up and little maintenance. Filters are expensive, but that is true with any brand HEPA machine you purchase. We have used this model for years after trying other brands and will not go back to the others.
