Decreases water flow rate November 3, 2009 pafmarwak (OR) I don't notice any difference in the water quality but do notice a difference in the flow rate. There was a noticeable decrease in the water pressure flow rate on both of the shower heads after we added this culligan filter cartridge. Our showerheads are different types and brands but both water savers.
A Good Filter - Quick Shipping October 8, 2009 Henry Jang (CALIFORNIA) These are a bargain and you can feel the difference in the water and the ease of clean up compared to no filter~
works great, runs out quick though August 28, 2009 L. Monte 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
so I've had this for almost six months now and it definitely filters out the chlorine in the water. i live in san diego so we have really hard water and high levels of chlorine in our water. with this installed, it makes a huge difference. i can't smell or taste the chlorine, i even poured a glass of water from shower head, chilled it and it tasted like my Pur filtered tap water! The only issue is that after a month i started to lose water pressure as the filter became clogged. i had to take it out and turn flip it and that works for another month or so. now i'm flipping it around once a week now, but it only takes 30 seconds to do. this can be attributed to the hardness of my water clogging it up quickly, so i take that into account. other than than, it works great and i can take a hot steamy shower without inhaling chlorine. for the price, it's worth it, i don't expect much more, if i had the money, i'd try to find one that would last longer. for the money and the quality of the water it puts out, it gets a five star rating, just annoying how fast it clogs, so i had to drop it a star...
CAN tell a difference!! August 15, 2009 Michael Godwin (south carolina) The short and sweet of this filter for me is simply this. I live in a rural setting. Water has to be piped for miles to get to me.
The water quality actually changed from day to day. Now I have a consistency, without a smell or a problem worrying about what I am washing myself with. I actually feel that it helps the skin by keeping pollutants down to a minimum. Does seem to make you feel healthier, but could be a psychological thing? Therefore without more "scientific evidence" I can only give it 4 star.
no alternative choice August 7, 2009 T. Park Culligan show system does work... however, you really don't have much choice but to keep on purchasing their 'price-y' replacement filter once you have it installed.
