The Secure Air 1200 is a compact, whisper quiet and attractive breakthrough in indoor air quality, designed to not only clean but to actually STERILIZE processed air. It delivers pure and sanitized air into the breathing area when placed on a night table or desktop. The Secure Air 1200 uses the latest electrostatic air filtration together with its patent-pending enhancement of UV-C germ eliminating technology. This particular model has been proven effective against Strep, Influenza, E-Coli, Salmonella, Tuberculosis, Staph, and hundreds of other illnesses, and has been certified by respected health and testing organizations. This product features polycarbonate construction, a 20 CFM capacity fan, a 9 Watt UV-C emitter, a magnetic transformer, rocker switch and a 9 foot cord. The air intake contains a reusable electrostatic filter which can be hand cleaned, rinsed and replaced. In a typical clean environment this should be done once a year. Tamper-proof screws and steel plate prevent access or accidental exposure to the emitter. Measures: 9.5" wide x 5" high x 8.5" deep.

I have Secure Air, 3M Filtrete FO3 and Sharper Image Ionic Breeze. The Secure Air improve my breathing when I have a cold or allergy. The 3M Filtrete only trap dusts. I don't feel the difference when my Sharper Image is on or off. I rate them Secure Air > 3M Filtrete > Sharper Image.

I owned my SecureAir 1200 for almost a year when the UV light stopped working. A quick e-mail to the company along with a copy of my original sales receipt and within a week I had a new unit.
I stongly recommend SecureAir to anyone who wants to eradicate unhealthy germs in their environment. Since I have been using SecureAir, the air in my bedroom not only smells better, it smells healthier!

I purchased two of these in May 2007. I use them infrequently. I believe the principal is good but the fan has broken and although under warranty I cannot get a response from the manufacturer. I sent two e-mails and called twice. An electronic message was taken but no one called back.

I use this air purifier in my office and I think it helped keep me from getting sick this winter. I definately recommend it!
