The old one finally gave out after 6 years of service. This pumps the AC condensate up from my below ground basement to ground level, about 5 feet.
The automatic mode always works and is quiet to operate.
Do not guess with your home. Get a product that works. This one works.

I bought this unit to replace an existing one that leaked. The old one was tired and wasn't able to handle the workload anymore. This little unit works great. It is quiet, and unobtrusive. It was also able to handle pumping the moisture up 6' and over to the drain line about 35' away.
My only problem was figuring out what the two extra wires on the unit were for and whether I needed to attach them to my central air unit. It turns out I didn't and so it was a no never-mind but still. If you have a dp alarm on your central air unit you will need to attach them. The rest of the installation was easy.
Other than that little bit of confusion, it works great.
