I'm sure this a great product, although I was misled about the sink flange. It was to be stainless, it is chrome. I will have to order from after market company as Waste King does not have other colors for the EZ mount. The only one I can find to fit the Waste King disposal will cost almost as much as the disposal! Which brings up another issue, today five days after ordering the diposal Waste King direct lowers the price and yes, the flang does cost as much as the diposal.

The motor died after 15 months...I had bought a similar unit from Costco last year.
Really messy.
Irritating, loud clicking noise when the motor starts.
The thin metal ring on the top came off, because coffee grounds loged underneath after some time.
The unit is too heavy for the mechanism to screw it on.
The engine was too strong for the flimsy holders...but only until it died.
I went with a Sears Incinerator OEM with 5 years warranty in-home exchange instead.
Less power but much stronger built.
Don't waste your time with waste king products.

Shipping service excellent, Fast, Fast,Fast. It's hard to believe that the installation was fast and easy. I had my daughter boyfriend come and give me a hand cause I really thought I was going to have trouble installing the Waste King. From start to finish it took us 1hour clean up and all. (LOL I didn't need him at all .I read all review which were help full to. ***** five stars........Thank You

It's much noiser than the Badger 5 it replaced. (Consumer Reports found the Badger 5 unacceptably noisy.) The rater who found "normal conversation level" possible with just the motor running (no water) couldn't do that; when it's grinding, he'd have to shout. It was installed by an experienced plumber, not DIY. It does the job well; but it's unacceptably loud. Vibrations are felt all along the counter when it is running. Waste-King will send a local repairman and if IN HIS OPINION it's too loud, replace the unit. If he thinks the level is normal--with no standard except his subjective opinion--I must pay $90 for the "service call." Waste-King will not cover that. The tech said there's no point in him coming; 8000's are the noisiest units sold for home use.
I've already paid to install it; to return it to Amazon I'd have to pay to uninstall it (plus shipping). I'm stuck with it. Find an installed unit and listen to it before purchase. You'll want to leave the kitchen when it's in use.

Removal of my old disposer, and installation of this one was a breeze. Having to remove the old one, though, made me appreciate the quick install option for the Waste King.
The device works like a charm. It's about 1/2 has loud as the old unit, and chops everything I've thrown at it. It is a bit bigger beneath the sink, but I'll take that as a trade for the quietness and performance.
