Boy, I wish I had purchased this purifier from the beginning. I made the mistake of purchasing the popular Honeywell machines last week and my wife just about threw me out of the house after hearing the noise from those machines. She described the sound as being in the middle of a power plant facility. Even their desktop purifier is louder on the low setting that the BlueAir 250e on the highest setting. BlueAir is truly whisper quiet (30 db at low setting) and I had a hard time believing it was on full blast when I had it on the highest setting until I put my hand near the top.
The CADR is more than enough for a 12x12 room according to a conservative estimate from a leading allergy website. I like that you could have this right next to your bed and not realize it is turned on.
The remote control is terrific and you can turn off the ion purifier if you like as well, although I am comfortable knowing that it has been tested by various sites with no ozone production measured.
Ordered this product via Amazon Prime and arrived within 2 days, outstanding service as usual (and free shipping) - well worth the investment for me.
I will look at buying some of the larger BlueAir products for my living room and larger areas and can't wait to have guests over now that the air is fresh and inviting.

This is the best purifier I've ever used. Removed odors from kitchen within 10 minutes. Also removed dog odors very quickly. It is also very quiet. I have a pair of Honeywell 500250's that I paid 158.00 for each. They work well for dust etc. but are loud and do not remove odors near as well. The downside to the BlueAir is the cost of the filters. I would buy again however.

This product works very well. It does not move as much air as you would expect but whichever room you put it in requires much less dusting and it is very quiet. It helps allergies and asthma. Excellent for reducing pet dander.

I am very happy with the Blueair 250E! It is very quiet, very easy to set up and easy to move to other rooms.
I highly recommend this product to anyone. I have a large apartment with very high ceilings. It worked instantly to take out any dander or dust (I have a dog..need I say more?)
