Aprilaire Model 700 Humidifier August 4, 2008 BigCheese (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy to install and automatically adjusts to keep house comfortable while preventing too much moisture and condensation from forming on windows. With proper humidity control we were able to reduce thermostat setting by 3-5ºF and pocket the fuel savings.
Good Humidifer July 11, 2008 Raghu Kashyap (Chicago, IL) I have been using this for almost a year now and I think this is working out great. However, the installation took a little bit longer than that was suggested on the Video.
Good instructions except for some areas where I thought could have been better. I think this is one of the best products available out in the market. If you call a Handy Man he would easily charge you around 600$ for this humidifier with the installation. If you have time on your hand and not scared of trying it out yourself you can save couple hundreds by buying it here and installing it yourself.
I guess its working March 21, 2007 Lee Kazista 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I installed the unit myself, first time cutting into duct work. Not an impossible task but it took me more than a few hours to complete it. The wiring was a little tricky to figure out. Beyond that, I needed to spend another $30 on parts, flexible copper tubing and pvc bits.
Overall, I guess it works
Easy to install and works great March 21, 2007 Scott Mozingo (Peoria, IL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased the Aprilaire 700 to replace the model 110 that quit working after 15 years. Several reviews said this was a good choice so I thought I'd give it a try.
Everything arrived in one box and the instructions were very clear. Since I was replacing an older power model, the wiring was already done for me but it looked easy enough. I did replace the water supply line which came with the new humidifier and had to cut a larger hole in the plenum and smaller hole in the return air supply for the humidistat.
In all, it took me about 2 hours to cut and fit the new one in. I did't use the outdoor temp. sensor because I prefer to use a manual setting. The unit has been operating flawlessly for a couple of months and the humidity in my house has risen to where it's much more comfortable. I'd recommend this unit.

Best price I could find. My HVAC service could not buy it cheaper. On time delivery.
