Good Product October 14, 2009 Steven T. Vaughn I have a shop building and only need hot water occasionally. I couldn't justify a full time water heater for my needs. This product fits the bill perfectly. It works great and produces all the hot water I need
Perfect Barn Hot water heater October 9, 2009 OffGridGuy (West Coast, BC) We live off grid, and have had a tankless propane water heater in the house for years. We also have a barn with horses and their care often requires warm or hot water. My wife has been asking for hot water in the Barn, and this unit has worked out wonderfully for us.
These come with 1/2 pipe thread fittings but I highly recommend getting some garden hose adapters and quick disconnects. This has made the unit very portable and has worked out the best for us.
Like any tankless water heater it should be drained when frost/freeze danger is suspected. Ours drains easily when disconnected, but I don't chance it in the winter. I blow (low pressure) air through the water inlet to make sure it's drained completely.
The Battery compartment is a little cheaply made, but ours hasn't broken yet ;o). I also don't like their 'shower' handle and find a garden hose head works better.
Heat varies from lukewarm (min heat, max flow) to hand burning (Max heat, Min flow).
wow September 17, 2009 Deborah J. Duncan (Missoula, MT) This product is better then the advertisement! I read other reviews and people said the first thing they had to do was go to the hardware store and get the right fittings. That was not the case...everything came in the box. The heater works great! Don't know how we camped without it.
Great, once I got it working August 22, 2009 Brian S (Lakeville, MA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The unit was packed well, came with everything that it was suppose to. I hooked up everything per the instructions. I start the unit up and it would not ignite. I checked all my connections. So I decide to take off the front cover and sure enough there were two connections that should have been connected to one another that were not, and the light that displays on the front was not in the front cover hole. Not sure what happened here....someone in China fell asleep at the wheel while assembling the unit. Well after I finished the connection, the unit fired up and worked great. We will be bringing the shower camping this weekend for the first time.
trouble free hot water August 11, 2009 J. Olson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this device to provide a hot shower for my guests in a severely overcrowded lake cabin for a 9 day reunion. It worked great, was super easy to set up, and didn't even put a dent in a 15# propane tank after 50 some showers. I might never take a shower inside again.
