Not Dependable September 27, 2009 D. CHEN (Bayside, NY) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchase this to disinfect articles. I used it for a few days when this wand did not recharge. It still works, but now with a cord. For the price that I paid, I would expect a better made product.
I love having this especailly now September 24, 2009 Clarence L. Bishop (Seattle, wa) I have had this since February and really love it. My grandkids had things being passed around on a regular basis. I have started using my scanner when I visit. They are not having the "nose" issue constantly since then.
I like the size. I don't think anything smaller would be very workable. But the tiny pocket one might be great for taking on the plane. Good luck explaining it to security though.
Mine has worked wonderful with no problems, but I lost the instructions and got an immediate response from the company with my questions.

At first no problem for about two weeks. Now the on switch works when it wants to. I have to keep pressing and praying for it to start. Money wasted
Weapon of mass cleaning January 7, 2009 John Marcus Trimble (Marietta, GA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My wife is close to a germaphobe, but not all the way there. So this cleaning tool gives her a reason to clean up and the ability to know that any thing is sanitized.
Dangers of incomplete marketing October 26, 2008 Jack of Trades 24 out of 26 found this review helpful
This product states that it is better than other models that are limited to the single wavelength of 253.7 nm but what it doesn't state is that most uv-c models are limited to that wavelength because it doesn't produce ozone which can be harmful at higher levels especially to individuals with compromised lungs. This is likely the reason that this product is limited to a 10 sec on time per use to prevent excessive buildup of ozone. While ozone is an effective deoxidizer like bleach, it also can be harmful to the skin and lung tissues just like chlorine gas. This may make it quicker and more effective at killing organisms as it states but with an inherent trade-off of safety. Thus, this may be fine for limited use but I wouldn't recommend it to people with sensitive lung issues or for disinfecting large areas in small rooms especially since ozone concentration can't really be detected by humans the way chlorine levels can.
