Great shower head when not broken October 31, 2009 Allison F. Randall (San Jose, CA United States) Ok, first off, I've had this thing for about a month and a half. I was all excited to cut my water usage and save money and yada yada. Maybe a week ago I noticed a leak, a small leak. I took it apart thinking I taped it wrong (plummers tape) and reassembled it. Still leaking, this time worse. It must be the gasket. No problem, head to OSH or Home Depot for 1 million gaskets for 10 cents. Uhm, NO! It is IMPOSSIBLE to find a gasket that fits this damn model. Here's the kicker, even WaterPik itself doesn't supply the gaskets on store shelves. I'm waiting on a reply from their customer service department about this issue so pending that, I will be civil. If I can obtain new gaskets and fix the leak, I'd give this product a 5 of 5 stars. If no gaskets are available, I'm trashing it and getting a better one with normal gaskets! Oh yeah, and don't buy this @ Bed Bath and Beyond like me. I was gouged 50 bucks for this.
Product is pathetic / but shipper was great! August 6, 2009 J. Looney This product kept coming off the spigot and spraying water all over my bathroom (both when it was perfectly installed and when it kept coming off the spigot). Do not even try this one!!! It connects with only plastic and you cannot get it tightened down properly to accept even moderate water pressure.
The shipper was great about my return though.
Works well, plastic but what isn't for this price July 25, 2009 D. MCKICHAN I grabbed this when it dipped in price and feel it was worth it. Flow rate is good for a 1.5gpm rating and for a handheld low flow there aren't a whole lot of other choices and most cost more. I have the Delta low flow non-handheld and like it, and this one offers a more trational spray as well as the Delta style micro-spray. (wife needs the hand held on her shower so I was glad to finally find one eco friendly)
Consumer reports gave it a decent ratings as well, but added the caveat that as this (and all the low flows they reviewed) is low flow it rated lower then the 2.5 gpm on feel. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out either that if you are moving from a 2.5 gpm to a 1.5 gpm it will likely be initially noticeable, but hopefully it will be as noticeable on your utility bill as well. Consumer reports also said it put out slightly more then 1.5 gpm but not much more.
As some of the other reviewers have said this is a model made of plastic. But really for [..] bucks what isn't these days? My five star rating considers it against others in this price point.
Edit: Have used this for a bit now and when combined with a switch to microfiber bath towels (lowers drying times on a gas dryer) I have noticed a difference in our monthly gas usage of about 3 to 5 cf per month. Wife said she noticed the difference in flow originally but didn't think it was that big of a deal.
AWFUL! DEPLETED WATER PRESSURE July 12, 2009 Ladybug (Georgia) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product was not worth the package it came in! Don't let the "chrome" look fool you-it's all plastic! The tab used to change the water settings is very difficult to turn, the "pause" feature only slightly decreases the flow, it was a pain to install, and worst of all-this product KILLED the water pressure in our shower! It was so bad that I had to stand UNDER the shower head in order for the stream of water to fall DOWN on me! The water stream came out only an inch or so before it began to fall downward due to the lack of pressure. I returned this item and purchased a WaterPik Powerspray (twenty dollars CHEAPER) and it has far fewer holes and a smaller head which seem to pump up the pressure. The powerspray was also easier to install, seems sturdier, and has more spray settings (which are much better, by the way.) Don't waste your money on the EcoFlow shower massage!!
Nice Head May 14, 2009 Robert Olivas Has helped reduced our water bills. With three females in my household. I don't have to worry about long showers or not having enough water after them. You do have to get used to a lower flow. With higher gas prices every penny helps.
