These Granulated Bamboo Charcoal Filters are designed to fit in the air filter holder of many different styles of fully enclosed litter boxes. Each holds 80 grams of activated carbon derived from environmentally friendly bamboo, for much more odor absorbing power than the plastic mesh style filters. These Bamboo Charcoal filters help control litter box odor by absorbing the odors instead of covering them up with perfumes, which can aggravate allergies.These filters can be re-used for up to 6 months, with highest efficacy in the first 3 months. Simply place the filter in bright sunlight for a couple hours once every other week to recharge its odor absorbing capacity. For best results, filters should be replaced at least twice a year, but for best results, replace every 3 months. Once they have been exhausted, you can cut them open and spread the charcoal on your garden or lawn as fertilizer.
