Cast iron pump housing for long life and quiet operation. Compactly designed for small sump pits. Two pole mechanical float switch provides on-off action for many years of safe, reliable service. Overload protection keeps motor from over-heating. Permanen tly lubricated ball bearing never needs oiling. Unitized shaft seal for long life. Top suction strainer stops foreign particles before they can clog the pump. Thermoplastic top assembly will not rust or corrode. Easy to install. 10" minimum sump diameter; 9" on-level; 3-1/2" off-level. 1-1/4" discharge.

The pump looks very high quality and evacuated the sump pit very quickly. I prefer the float switch over the tethered system. Installation is easy, ignore the manual, the best instructions are right on the box.
I was disappointed when I saw the same pump at the local Farm & Fleet for $90 instead of $115 from here.

GREAT WORKING SUMP PUMP May 11, 2008

I bought one of these 12 years ago and it still worked, but the shut of switch quit. I decided not to fix that, get a new one, not only did it get used for the cockpot in basement, but the washing machine was run through the cockpot so the sump pump got a good work out every day. Don't buy the pedestal type, they only last 1 or 2 years, the submersible pumps are the way to go, very dependable and will last for years.
