Excellent Product January 8, 2009 Raymond C. Foster (Somers, CT) I ordered this product in November with the idea of installing it after New Year's. It arrived in good order. The packaging is a bear to open. But once installed, I am delighted with the product so far. I recommend it with only one reservation: the tabs which hold the handshower in place could break if handled roughly ( I think.) But with reasonable handling, it should last for a very long time.
Like it a lot but has one issue.... December 27, 2008 Avid Reader (Groton, Connecticut) We've been using this shower head for about 6 months now and both my husband and I like it. Haven't had issues with water pressure and I like the 'gentle rain' feel of the water output. The only issue we've had is that hot water seems to be used up pretty quickly. With our old shower head, we never ran out of hot water but we do with this one which tells me it dispenses much more water than the other one did. Still, I like it and am glad we purchased it. Has quite a few pluses. It's so much easier to clean the shower now since I can use the handheld unit to rinse off every corner. It's also a big help when I wash my dog in the shower as I can use the handheld unit to rinse her off. It's also great if more than one person is in the shower as one can have the handheld and the other can use the shower head at the same time.
No pressure!!! November 23, 2008 T. Heyn (San Diego, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Are...you...kidding...me!? So, one would assume that if you're looking for a two-head showerhead, you're probably getting a little upset at the government's regulation of showerheads and the 2.5 gpm restriction. You might think that this product--with its TWO heads--might result in 5 gpm, so that you can get a halfway decent shower. WRONG!!! You have two heads trickling water at you at 2.5 gpm TOTAL. Yes, there's a regulator in there that actually makes sure that you don't get too much out of both showerheads at the same time. And then there's another regulator on the remote shower head, just to keep water restricted even further. Look carefully at the photo included with product--the only one where water's coming out. That is NOT high pressure coming out--the water is making a low arc. You might think that the photo was taken under low pressure conditions for the sake of elegance, but that's actually what you'll be experiencing with your magnificent Delta dual-headed shower. TIP IF YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP THE PRODUCT AND ARE DISSATISFIED. You can override the regulator within the 'remote' showerhead--the one you can hold in your hand. Simply disassemble it from hose, and you'll see a grey screen to catch debris. This is a redundant screen--there's one on the 'source' as well where the shower head screws on to water piping in your home. If you look behind this screen, you'll find the water regulator behind it. In the old days, you could pull these regulators out with pliers, etc... No more. The government and/or Delta doesn't trust you. Instead, you literally have to DRILL it out with an electric drill. put on a 1/8" drill bit on an electric drill--preferrably one designed to burrow into walls, etc..., and drill straight through the mesh along the path of the water. Within about 5-10 seconds of effort, the regulator will be chewed to pieces and should fall out harmlessly. You'll notice a substantial increase in water flow to that one particular head. The main showerhead is essentially unserviceable--I took the whole thing apart, and you really can't tamper with that regulator without seriously damaging yoru showerhead. The short story is, don't buy this product. If you did and are stuck with it, please do yourself a favor and take a drill to it so that you can get at least some water out of it.
Good idea - doesn't work October 20, 2008 Stewey I bought this new shower head for my wife. When she saw it, she was so excited. When she used it she was very upset. It does not allow enough water pressure to function properly. I took out and drilled out all the restrictors and it works better. However, there still is not enough pressure to use all the functions. Don't spent the money on this, my wife likes the cheap hand held we had better than this one. I however, like this better because of the both together rain feature and being able to use the hand held and still be under the water from the other. I shave my head and don't need water pressure to wash out shampoo though..
Cool product but novelty wears off quickly September 4, 2008 W. So (NJ, USA) What made me decide to purchase this product was the outstanding number of possibilities. Using both head and wand together gave the widest coverage and largest volume, while switching to the head or wand alone conserves water. In practice, the choices were more than what I needed. I rarely used the high-power massage modes or the shower head, which are too strong for infants. On the shower wand, the two modes which I most frequently used, Trickle and Steady flow, are on the opposite ends of the switch/ring. Like other reviewers, I found that it is difficult to twist even after learning the proper techniques. Two things would have made this product better: 1) If the ring allowed a full 360 (1-2-3-4-5-1), so that Trickle is more accessible. 2) If the head contained a variable flow switch, that would duplicate the Trickle mode of the shower wand. I used the In2ition for about 3 months. I've replaced it with a shower wand that has the features I now want, namely the variable flow switch and a built-in shut off when the water becomes too hot. Search Google or Amazon for "antiscald" to find it.
