Weller has been making guns like this for decades and they know how. It was received with one of the element nuts a bit loose, which resulted in poor heating, but after that was tightened it works great. I use this gun for soldering large electrical connectors, sometimes outdoors in the cold. It has plenty of power, heats quickly (not as quickly as the old Wen guns, but still quickly) and is not too heavy.

Not too much to say, it's a great tool and does the job like it should. It heats up very quickly and that's what you want when soldering something, it has a good heavy feel to it and seems like a quality item, I would recomend this tool to anyone that is serious about tools!!

I recently purchased this for auto wiring soldering. It is so much better than anything else that I've used (guns and irons). The high wattage makes it extremely fast to use. Get one!
