Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Most woodworkers own a router, but not near as many own a biscuit joiner. Here's the best of both worlds at an economical price. Vermont American's jig turns most any router into a biscuit joiner. Just a little assembly out of the box, and you'll be cutting biscuit slots like nobody's business. Your router attaches to the included base plate, which sits atop a two-piece, smooth-riding carriage assembly. The position of your cut on the board is determined by the height of the three-bladed slot-cutting bit. Careful marking of centerlines gets you a slot as accurate as one made with a true biscuit joiner, using biscuits in sizes 0, 10, and 20 and allowing you to make strong butt joints, splined miters, and edge joints like a pro. It's only a little more work than a real joiner, but we think the savings is worth it if yet another power tool isn't in your budget. If you already have the luxury of a second router, this is the perfect accessory for you.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste
