exactly as advertised. definitely recommended. cuts 1/4" with ease. 1/2" takes a little finesse, because no jobsite is perfect with a perfect work table, but if you're a contractor, that's not an issue.

Very Happy with this tool!! It makes the job of cutting Fiber Cement Board a breeze. I will never go back to using a saw blade for this job. We have finished siding 1/2 of our house and so far these shears have performed perfectly. The only thing that might be improved on is the position of the cord on the handle. It would help on certain cuts if the cord was attached at a slight angle or better yet have it be able to pivot.
Great for Hardi soffit June 13, 2009

I ordered this tool after reading the reviews here. I used it to put hardi soffit on my house. The soffit had to have about 2" ripped off of each 8' piece. This tool cut the material like it was butter. It was quite and dust free. I only wish I would have bought this tool before we did the soffits on the garage.

Makes short work of cutting Hardiplank siding. Doing a big job replacing siding on apt buildings and this tool has really sped up the work. Tool has more than paid for itself in decreased labor.
