The Palmgren 1-Ton Manual Arbor Press delivers the heavy force needed for riveting, squeezing, punching, bending, and other pressing applications. Sturdy cast-iron construction makes this one tough press. Removable machined steel anvil provides accurate work support in four slot positions. Rugged steel ram is driven by a machined pinion. Punches or tools may be added to the end of the ram with the aid of a magnetic insert. The base is designed for mounting on a bench or pedestal. The press is equipped with a handwheel to perform light and quick press work.

This arbor press is just what I needed. It's small, it fits on top of a workbench nicely, and it is very well-made.

This arbor press has excellent features and is a quality, built-in-the-USA unit. I especially like the hole in the ram so that tool tips of different shapes can be attached. It uses a magnet to hold them in place. I made my own attachement to use this as a leather stamping press and it works great. I found that if you make your own tool tip that you need to carefully copy the ones provided so that the length of the mounting hole portion does not extend further and come in contact with the magnet. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I know, I know, he's going to talk about cast iron again. Sorry folks, it's the only way to go. This little benchtop unit is great for small press jobs...bearings, dowels, roll pins, etc.

Much, much better than the typical Chinese made generic arbor press. Good fit and finish, includes accessories that most do not. Was very pleasantly surprised at the overall quality and value. Highly recommended.

Includes three arbor punches/bits where others don't. The ram is counterbored and a magnet glued into the bore to accept and hold the bits. Nice touch. Remember if you make your own punches to not let them bottom out on the magnet, sinceand magnets are brittle.
As arrived, this press came with a wheel handle on it opposite the bar handle. See the 1/2 ton press for a picture. It was an unexpected surprise, but I find I never use that wheel handle.
Overall, a great little press.
