Unique, volume-saving vertical design and easy-gliding wheels offer maneuverability. | Keep Your Shop Safe and Clean With two four-inch replaceable dust ports and an upper filter bag that has the ability to filter out pollutants measuring just one micron in size, this dust collector efficiently extracts fine, invisible dust particles from the air. Much airborne dust--including wood dust--contains chemicals that can trigger severe allergic reactions in humans. And long-term exposure to dust can cause a measurable, sometimes permanent loss of respiratory capacity. This is why it is so important to protect yourself from dust that can lead to health problems down the road.Powerful Dust Collector Goes Where You Go Designed to work as efficiently as possible, the 50-760 features a 1.5-horsepower, 3,450-RPM, 120/240-volt, 60-hertz, single-phase induction motor, which moves up to 1,200 cubic feet of air per minute. And without compromising any of that power, this dust collector has a unique, volume-saving vertical design. So you can clean any work surface or area in your shop, and to make storage a snap, the 50-760 sits on heavy-duty casters, a sturdy steel base, and four glide wheels to allow for easy maneuverability without floor damage. For added convenience, the motor housing can be mounted with the dust ports facing up or down. The 50-760 measures 35.5 x 20.0 x 18.0 inches (WxHxD) and weighs 95.6 pounds. Quick-Change Bags Simplify Dust Collection In addition to the one-micron filtration bag, this collector uses transparent, plastic chip collection bags that make it easy to see when it's time for a bag change. For added convenience, two snap-in bag rings are included for quick and easy bag changes without cam-over-lock clamps. What's in the Box Motor and blower, support frame, one-micron filtration bag with sewn-in bag ring, two six-mil plastic chip collection bags, one snap-in bag ring, two four-inch intake ports, four swivel-caster assemblies, cord, plug, and instruction manual.

WHAT A SYSTEM !!!! September 17, 2009 Warren E. Greenwald (West Chester,Pa.) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
THE BEST !!! GREAT PRICE, GREAT PERFORMANCE. INSTALLED MINE WITH 6" GALVANIZED DUCT WORK. THE FINAL RESULT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT. CONNECTED MY PLANNER TO A 30 GALLON DUST SEPARATER. MADE THE MISTAKE OF LEAVING THE BLAST GATE FULL OPEN. SO MUCH AIR WENT THRU THE SEPARATER THAT ABOUT TWO INCHES OF SAWDUST ALREADY IN THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT WERE SUCKED OUT INTO THE DELTA BAG. SOLVED THIS PROBLEM BY INSTALLING TWO PLASTIC ELBOWS ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE SEPARATOR LID WITH THEM FACING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. FOUND THAT CLOSING THE BLAST GATE TO HALF OPEN PRODUCED THE RIGHT FLOW TO REMOVE THE SAWDUST FROM THE PLANNER AND CARRY ONLY THE FINES TO THE DELTA BAG. HAVE USED IT THE SAME WAY WITH MY GRIZZLY TABLE SAW AND THE RESULTS ARE BETTER THAN EXPECTED. NEXT PROJECT IS TO BUILD A "SANDING HOOD" & CONNECT IT TO THE DELTA SO I CAN ELIMINATE THAT SOURCE OF DUST IN MY BASEMENT SHOP. GREAT UNIT. SORRY I WAITED SO LONG TO BE SERIOUS ABOUT DUST COLLECTION. ALL THE LITERATURE INDICATES THAT DUST IN THE 2 TO 10 MICRON SIZE IS THE WORST FOR OUR LUNGS. DELTA TOP VENT BAG FILTERS DOWN TO 1 MICRON !!! IS YOUR HEALTH WORTH IT ??? ALSO RUNS PRETTY QUIETLY FOR A LARGE VACUUM UNIT.
Dents and damage. August 12, 2009 Daniel R. Mcguire (Northern Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having read other reviews of the Delta 50-760 dust collector, I was prepared to see a few dents when my vacuum arrived. It was worse than I thought. The motor cowling was so beaten in I had to go to my metal shop to dent it out so the motor could turn. There was also a major dent in the heavy gauge steel housing around the impeller vanes. Once the repairs were made, the assembly took about half-an-hour. The metal band for the plastic sawdust bag was difficult to put on with just one person, but the cloth covered band snapped in easily, so the metal band is hanging on my shop wall. The machine performs well and is quieter than I expected. Apart from the shipping damage, it's a nice tool for the woodshop.
Great product, not so great packing. July 15, 2009 John D. Maier (TEXAS) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yes it works great and is quiet. Now, straight to the good stuff. I made a chip collector, what fun I've had, I tried 2 setups, one small can, one big can with a wire frame inside a bag.(collapsed it!) I thought at first it would collapse the metal cans too, big and small the sides started going in. For my top I used plywood, the suction holds it on, tight. I stayed with the small can, I'll upload a Pic, its a hoot to see, whats even more funny is whats in the can -nothing, the suction is too much, it keeps the can empty. Anyway I am very pleased with this product, especially the low noise level, no louder than a table saw.. Check your box for damage, the way this is packaged, you will almost certainly have damage.(like I did)
sawdust Geezer July 13, 2009 Sawdust Geezer (Geezer Harbors. FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very pleased with the operation of this unit. It arrived with the same damage as most posts have described. Dented fan housing. Not bad enough to return but still shows lack of shipping QC. After all the complaints on this site you would think someone would have taken corrective action by now.
I have not been very sucessful with a first stage collection system. Biggest problem I had was finding a 5" to 4" reducer. By the time I get this working correctly I probably could have bought a two stage system.
Over all I am very pleased with the "Big Suck"
A Solid Product July 1, 2009 M. Tawil (Manhattan Beach, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this to replace a 650CFM collector that just was not powerful enough to get all the dust from my various power tools or sanding table. It was easy to assemble following the instructions and using a pulley system to help handle the heavier motor assembly (don't do it without help). I needed to get a really thin wrench to attach the wheels, Delta should have supplied a stamped tool. The cart is sturdy and solid and moves easily over the floor, the power cord is long enough to reach every part of my shop. The hose is much too short to move from one machine to another so I replaced it.
The plastic bag installation, using the external clamping ring was a flop. The notches do not allow for 'fine' adjustment. It was either too loose (leaked dust) or too tight to clamp. Delta replace the band but I found the flexible ring insert easier to use. After emptying the bag it gets trickier to reinstall because its slippery, but it can be done.
All in all a very satisfactory purchase. Simple, powerful, compact and tight.
