Good as advertised November 9, 2009 Robert M. Webb (Salt Lake City) The compressor is good as advertised for trim and doing a few framing nails - not for constant multiple nailing - very light weight and easy to carry.
Excellent little compressor! October 26, 2009 J. Miller (Apache Junction, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted a small, quiet and lightweight compressor that I could bring into a client's residence without making a racket or hurting my back lugging it around. Many of the other 'pancake-style' compressors I looked at didn't meet my expectations. Since most of my interior work is finish-oriented and custom, I didn't need a production machine. Plus, I find that I can plug this compressor into a typical 15A household circuit without popping the breaker. So far, this machine has met my expectations and I am happy with the purchase.
A Winner October 18, 2009 Duffer. (Conyers, GA United States) I have been using this compressor for the past several weeks and it is an excellent item. It is light weight and has every feature that I need for small jobs. The only negative is that the rubber feet come off but that is easily fixed and does not detract from the rating of the compressor itself.
Disappointed September 30, 2009 Ed D. Walker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have an Emglo air compressor that's almost 20 years old. It always works and has not given me one bit of problem over the years. I wanted a small, portable compressor for trim work and quick jobs, so I tried this air compressor. It says that it's a DeWalt by Emglo, so I had hoped the Emglo was still the real maker of it. Unfortunately, DeWalt got a hold of a great company and brought it down to their low standards. DeWalt is about 50/50 on wether you get a good tool or junk. This turned out to be junk. Right out of the box, it started up, built up pressure and then lost it when I turned the Regulator Knob to get pressure to my air hose. Reading the instruction manual, they list it as a faulty Regulator. The cheap, plastic knob leaks air out the bottom of it.
The replacement did the exact same thing!!!
After wasting too much time on this, I've swore off DeWalt for air compressors. My list of things not to buy from DeWalt is growing. What I'm really disapointed in is the Emglo name is also junk too.
typical dewalt September 22, 2009 R. Lashbrook (Seattle) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is like all the Dewalt products I own. Cheap and needing repair way too soon. I will never buy another Dewalt product again. Would rather shop at harbor freight and know that I was getting what I paid for. STAY AWAY FROM DEWALT IT IS JUNK. I do this for a living and fool me once.....
