My first soldering iron...makes soldering easy. June 23, 2009 Book Hound 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the first soldering iron I've ever owned. I am an RC vehicle junkie and got tired of shelving battery packs and components because I didn't know how to solder. I looked into a whole lot of irons and went with this one because it has all of the capacity that I'll ever need, which wasn't the case with the other ones that cost less than a fortune.
Most of my solder joints still look like a bad accident, but they hold and they work well. They get a little prettier each time I practice.
In my educated-consumer opinion, the 937+ simply can't be matched for the money. Mine probably has only about 10 hours on it so far, but it has given me no indication of cheap build quality. There isn't a single thing about it that I dislike.
It heats up very quickly, the temp setting on the digital readout is accurate, and because it can heat up so quickly it is able to keep a good working temp the entire time it takes to make a joint.
I'm pleased enough with it that I could sell it.
a great iron at any price January 11, 2009 James Cecorn (Sacramento, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
this is a great iron. i had trouble out of the box. the temperature selection buttons did not function at all. a quick note to the seller and it was RMA'd and taken care of no problem. iron heats up in a matter of seconds and it holds temperature well through many consecutive solders. i've used more expensive stations but i'm not missing a thing with the aoyue.

Great Performance, Great Price November 29, 2008 Matthew W. Kime (Brooklyn, NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm not an expert with a soldering gun by any means but this tool has been a pleasure to use. Its so much easier to learn when you can see the temp of the tip and adjust it as needed.
Very solid product.
