Will not snake around sharp bends in downspouts. Additionally, even in pipes without sharp bends it works poorly if the blockage is compacted. This is because there is no rotating mechanism in the head and because all four water jets discharge water back toward the hose to help propel it forward. Since there is neither a mechanical auger nor a water jet to dislodge any blockage ahead of the hose, only the ramming action of the hose itself is available to dislodge a clog. Depending on the nature of the clog this ramming action may work, or it may only further jam an already compacted blockage.
