This is my first time using other than a manual planer. Surprise... It works great. I have a project using reclaimed lumber and planed each board before cutting to size. Worked great. Don't forget to get a metal detector so you do not destroy your planer blades and have the expense of replacing them. It was actually fun learning to use the planer.. I now have a new toy.

Used this planer for the first time last night and it worked flawless. Easy to use, well built and a great time saving tool.

Lots of power. Sturdy construction. Sharp blades. Extremely precise depth of cut adjustment. Great out of box experience: just plug it in and start power planing. Intuitive operation. Rapidly gets the job done. Stores nicely in its carrying case.
