I prevously owned a Sears jointer and have used several others. First, most competing jointers offered by other manufacturers at a similar price range only have two cutters and turn at a much lower speed. This jointer is a joy to use and gives a very fine surface. The workmanship is professional and well designed. The dust collecting system is exceptional with very few wood particles escaping the the machine. Jointers typically make a large quantity of sawdust. I would recommend to anyone.
