Bills second video is finally here!
Bill has done something which, to the best of our knowledge, is a first in woodworking videos. It is closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Bill recognizes that many woodworkers either have hearing problems or will have hearing problems. Even if you don't, closed captioning offers you a way to view your video in a noisy shop environment. If you don't think your shop is noisy, you may need this feature more than you know!
Introduction
- The introduction gives a brief overview of the contents of the rest of the video. In this video Bill turn a natural edged bowl, a winged bowl from a piece of crotchwood, a square bowl from a piece of lumber, and he cores a set of bowls with the Kel McNaughton coring tools.
After discussing the techniques for sawing the blanks for a natural edged bowl, Bill goes through the process of turning one, paying particular attention to the techniques that are different than those in a regular bowl.

This is a good DVD, very enjoyable. The only issue I had is not all viewers will be using "State of the Art" custom made equipment as shown in this DVD.

This DVD takes the apprehension out of trying advanced bowl turning techniques (especially natural edge). It takes off where his first video ended - no repeats- and onto advanced learning for the viewer. Great product. I hope he creates a 3rd video (maybe on turning boxes!). If he does, I will be the first to buy it.

very good video and i have purchased the first one prior of Bill's. If your getting into wood turning the first is the best one and the second one is helpful for more advanced turning ideas. He also demonstrates the hollowing tool from KelMcnaughton which is interesting also. Bill makes things easy to understand and goes thru it step by step.
