good core workout November 25, 2009 Peggy Melvin Always looking for good ways to get a strong core and have tried about everything at one time or another, including many of the really expensive ab machines. To me, this is as good as any of them. Lots of different exercises, which can be modified (in most cases) for varying levels. This is one of those inexpensive pieces of equipment that really packs a lot of punch. Several things you can do with it. I love it.
It works, no exaggerated claims, low low price November 13, 2009 George Kelso Jr. (huntington beach, ca USA) It was simple to assemble, just put a little liquid soap on the bar and pound on the rubber handles gently with a hammer, make sure the finger grips are aligned. My abs are already strong so the ab exercise was easy for me, but I feel this equipment gives an excellent total ab experience. I feel the exercise worked my arms more than my abs.
Entirely too hard to do, but definitely not the "no pain no gain" concept November 13, 2009 brittyD 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Using this wheel is EXTREMELY HARD, especially if your are severely over weight.
Its difficult to work your abs out with this product because it strains the hell out of your back!. The wheel is also very small, and it gives little to no support of your upper body weight, and its very hard to maneuver.
I bought it, rolled it once, and threw it in the closet so it could just collect dust.
Its just entirely too difficult and the only "gain" in this workout is some sore knees and some back pain. There are other products out there much more effective and easier to use.
Just OK product.... The grip is pretty bad though November 10, 2009 Luis Felipe Gonzalez Diaz (Planet Earth) The assembly is kind of difficult but not impossible. The product itself seems to be good and durable. Not sure about the the results yet. Be sure you exercise as directed since is really easy hurt yourself doing this. Another thing is that you have to be in good shape to begin working out with this or any other wheel. The grip is pretty bad, I have to use my gloves every time because if I don't my hands get really soar.
Good ab workout for low price November 10, 2009 Jen This is a pretty simple piece of equipment, but it works. My trainer has had me use this in the gym, so I bought one to use at home. When used correctly, you can definitely get a good ab workout. It's not as easy as it looks -- but if it was, the workout wouldn't be as effective. It takes a little while to get the proper form/motion down, but once you do, you will feel it. As far as assembly, it was a snap. I saw some other reviews about the difficulty of getting the grips onto the metal rod. I just followed the advice in the directions, which says to use soap or hand lotion and it worked with no problem. They slid all the way on rather easily. Nothing is wobbly or loose. Oh -- and I wasn't sure how well this would work on carpet, but it works just fine.
