General Purpose rope made in China. October 8, 2009 Waiting (Mount Clearwater) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is just General Purpose rope and it is made in China. It is OK rope suitable for tent lines, lashing, hanging food up in tree, tying people up, etc. It is not Para Cord like someone said, that being said it could be Chinese Para Cord which could explain why they hit the ground with a thud. If you want General Purpose rope just go to one of the DIY stores and put the money for shipping with your rope money and buy a better rope. The rope is about 3/16th's of a inch thick. It is Olive Drab in color and does not have individual cords inside. It is just General Purpose rope.
Great little rope September 22, 2009 Matthew J. Athas (Maine, USA) Awesome little packages of rope. I use this for everything I need to tie down or up. I keep 2 in the truck and several in my go pack.
A must for every survival kit August 15, 2009 Eric Davis (Bennett, CO USA) I cannot say that I am a rope 'expert' but this rope seems okay for the moments you might need some rope handy.
I agree with the other reviews that this type of rope is ESSENTIAL for a survial kit and/or Go Bags.
I've seen higher quality ropes out there, but I'm sure it will do just fine for tying down shelters, hanging food, etc.
Lightweight, Great strength July 10, 2009 Mat (Baltimore, MD) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having a good amount of cordage is a necessity and this albeit pretty standard, is good to go with. Very lightweight, synthetic, all around reliable.
yep, this is rope April 25, 2009 adjective (place) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good basic, lightweight rope. Not as strong or compact as good para cord, and it frays more, but previous reviewers correctly praised its suitability for vehicular/survival kit use. It's quite adequate for securing tarps. Not for lack of trying, but I haven't managed to break a strand of it yet.
