not that great March 4, 2010 R. Perrone (Central NJ, USA) the flip up straw part was way too tight. it was hard to flip up and down and i didn't like the way the clip was attached. when the straws up, the clip is down and when the clip is up, the straw is down. overall, it was the tightness of the switcheroo that turned me off. sent it back the day after i got it and exchanged it for a Camelbak. love my 32 ouncer of the same (camelbak) so i'll stick with that brand.
Great Bottle! March 2, 2010 Jean D. Moore (USA) This is the best water bottle I own. It is big enough and easy to use.
The rubber straw folds down. it is nice looking and comes in 700 mi which is
bigger than 12 oz. Pretty colors also. I have the red, blue, and orange one.
Exploding Water Bottle February 16, 2010 C. Curtis (Chico, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really liked this bottle at first, but the honeymoon didn't last long. When this water bottle is filled with cold water and placed on a desk or night stand with the flip straw in the up and ready to drink from position, some type of slow vacuum effect happens that causes the water to start slowing coming up through the straw and spilling over ever so slightly. It gets worse. On numerous occasions I have filled this bottle with cold water and taken it with me in the car. When I leave the bottle in the car with the flip straw in the down/closed position, it only takes a few minutes for the same strange suction thing to occur but since the flip straw is in the closed/down position the water will not slowly spill over but will literally explode in your face when you flip the straw up to take a drink. You have to remember to unscrew the lid before taking a sip in order to break the vacuum that is created when the temperature of the liquid in the bottle is colder than the air temperature. This defect is a pain to deal with and embarrassing when it spills all over the front of your shirt when you are in public or at work.
Best sports/travel bottle I've found yet! February 12, 2010 Mark Twain I've tried so many of them, including the touted Camelbacks. For my money, these Nathan bottles win every time. Sturdy and rugged, I've been using two of them daily for over a month now. I absolutely love every feature. Drinks stay cool, nothing leaks, it's simple to assemble, easy to wash, and it has that cool slip clip to attach a keyring or to loop your finger through for carrying. Dirty fingers never have to touch the mouthpiece, which folds down into lid while not in use if you choose.
Don't waste your money February 11, 2010 Barb (York, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This water bottle was very easy to use. My son loved the flip straw and I loved that it was dishwasher-safe. However, he used it about 3 times and it sprung a leak in the bottom. Water all over the bleachers at basketball practice. No way to fix it. A waste of money.
