Great Bike Stand September 29, 2009 K. Maull (D.C.) The footprint of this bike rack is pretty small-it takes up a minimal amount of floor and wall space considering it holds two bikes. If you bump the bikes when they are mounted, they will wobble, but the bikes are pretty secure and have never fallen off. The more regularly used bike is kept on the bottom, and the top bike is still steady without it. The only issue I had with this product is that the piece of fabric used to mount the rack to the wall is pretty cheap with no rivets, so the screws did not hold the fabric to the rack, they just pulled right through. We just used a similar securing fabric from a piece of Ikea furniture and that did the trick. I'm pleased with the purchase, it was definitely worth the money.
simple, cheap for a reason September 13, 2009 M. Mastache (San Luis Obispo, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stand is pretty chill except for I bought mine to match another one and it didn't have silver hooks like in the photo, it had bright red plastic ones. So if you care about little details like that it kind of sucks. It holds one bike nice, but my other bike which is a heavier old Peugot is too heavy and it always pushes the hook down so the bike is resting on the floor and the rack is kind of pointless. These racks are good if you have light weight bikes.
Average after working through the kinks August 26, 2009 Amy (Rockville, MD) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was an average bike rack but it was suprisingly stable and didn't take up too much space in our small condo.
Two main problems that we had with the stand were: 1. The first one that we received was missing some of the parts for putting it together. We exchanged it for a new one which was very easy to put together. 2. After a few weeks of use, the rubber on the bike holders started peeling off of two of the holders, leaving minor scratches on the bikes.
What a perfect solution!!! July 15, 2009 MBB If you have room problems or you just don't want to drill your walls, I found this product to be ideal. It works as the manufacturer claims and even "decorates" the area where the bikes are. Seriously, I have nothing negative to say about the product. Definitely recommended.
Great stand if you know how to use it. July 8, 2009 Samuel Clemens (LA, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stand is awesome if you do your research on where you want it located. I have a loft style apartment and I zip tied it to the banister. This being said, two zip ties made this thing super stable and kinda decorative holding the bikes up for all to see. I have an old carbon weird frame mt bike and I was able to adjust the arms to fit. So the adjustments are limitless. The bad experience is that even though I did buy from Amazon, the screws were all loose in the box. Like someone just threw them in at the last minute. On the upside none were missing. So be careful when you are opening your box.
