Works perfectly November 15, 2009 Dee (Jamaica) I was very skeptical when I was purchasing this item. But when it came I was impressed and it worked exactly how I wanted it to work. It is very sturdy and if you are looking for a quick fix for a little more space in your closet, then this is it.
sturdy space saver November 11, 2009 nsr (WA, USA) This doubler rod doubled the space in my closet - there's space for my tees and my folded slacks at the top, and the longer shirts and jackets I place at the bottom. It feels sturdy, and the bottom rod doesn't sag, so it holds clothes quite well. I love that the sides have hooks, I use them to hang belts on. Also, you can adjust where you place the bottom rod - if all you'll place at the top is tanks, you can probaby use the bottom for longer stuff.
I live in an apt where there's no drawers, so I opted to hang most of my clothes instead. This really helped me fit my clothes into the small closet space.
Just What We Needed October 21, 2009 CeCe in NM (New Mexico) Doubled my granddaughter's closet space. Took it out of the box and it was in the closet 2 seconds later. Great!
love it, but have a suggestion September 15, 2009 H. Johnson (NYC) I love this product. It has saved me in my quest from moving to a large house in the suburbs to a tiny apartment in NYC. It is adjustable, so you can decide how low you want to hang your second rack, and the hanger bars have little hooks to hang small things on, like your tape measurer. The hooks are not large - you won't be able to hang your purse or anything like that. I do have a suggestion about how to hang your closet doubler. This is what I've done and it is working perfectly. I was dissatisfied about how low everything hung, and how the bottoms of my shirts hung on top hung over onto the pants that were hanging on the doubler. I fixed this by drilling a couple screws into the board that my original closet rod is drilled into. I put these screws probably 18 inches in front of my original closet rod, and then hung the closet doubler from those. That way I could move the actual rod up a couple notches so it hung a bit higher without getting in the way of my shirts. Now all of my clothes are easily accessible and organized, and nothing is hanging on the floor or overlapping. I would disagree with the other reviewer who said that it is not very sturdy. Mine is full of heavy jeans and I'm not having any problems.
Awesome & Sturdy September 11, 2009 Suzanne M. Bard (Dudley, MA) I bought two of the closet doublers and am VERY happy with the product. It was easy to put in use and very sturdy! The best part is that the height between the poles can be adjusted to the desired height which is great for different legnth clothes.
