Very nice patio fir pit November 19, 2009 K.L. (Riverside, California United States) This was just as nice as the previous reviews indicated. Assembly was quick, quality was great for the price. A beautiful addition to our patio. I am pleased with my purchase.
Great Firepit! November 13, 2009 Tamar M. Schacknow (Dallas, TX) Great product, easy to put together, works great for small group, good value for the money. I've seen this same product higher priced most places so this was worth it!
Nice firepit for a deck November 2, 2009 Forest dweller We have enjoyed using the firepit, which is attractive and functional and easy to assemble. The carton arrived somewhat worse for wear, but the parts were all present and undamaged.
The main limitation is that the screen is fairly coarse (roughly 1/4" mesh), so small sparks sometimes rise in the air for some distance, and occasionally land outside the firepit while still glowing.
We have the firepit on our deck, over a fireproof mat, which is in turn on top of some concrete pavers. That is quite enough to keep the deck safe, but the firepit should not be used over bare wood, given how hot the bowl gets. It would probably not set a deck on fire, but it might well scorch it a bit.

Many of the people reviewing this have never posted a review before, all talk about the quality, and that makes me suspicious.
Does what it's supposed to do September 8, 2009 Mike Lawrence (Broomfield, CO USA) Works well for what it's designed to do. Sturdy. Assembles easily. Fire bowl is deep enough. The mesh/grate doesn't stop all the sparks. I do reccomend a cover as the ashes will eat through the bowl if allowed to get wet on a regular basis.
