Inaccurate, very disappointing! November 17, 2009 Waybo (Litchfield, NH USA) We purchased two of these, (for master bath and kitchen) and are VERY disappointed. We might have one malfunctioning unit, but two?!?
Both models are fairly consistent with each other, so we threw out a fairly expensive thermometer/hydrometer that was showing indoor temp 5 degrees lower, and 15% less humidity than these. Because of the high humidity and health issues, we called in some experts for a review of our new home. Calibrated tests showed that these thermometers were off by 3-5 degrees for inside temp, and 15-20% off for humidity.
In addition, the barometer, and weather predicting do not appear to follow the weather.
Should you consider purchasing this unit, be sure to look at the size. It's bigger than we thought. (Like a hard-covered best seller.) That was our fault for not recognizing the size, and had not impact on the rating. If it doesn't work, it's junk! And these don't work!!!
Decent Weather Station - But Overpriced November 16, 2009 yogi1ab (Portland, OR) Overall, I am happy with this weather station. I got this particular model because it had barometric pressure readings AND its 24-hour history for my BF who suffers from weather-related sinus pains/pressure. This is a very handy feature for us, but if you are not looking for this feature, you can find good weather stations for half the price of this one, so do shop around. The other functions of this station work perfectly, and I have experienced no problems or malfunctions. The display is easy to read and the forecast arrow (up for when weather is to improve, and down, when it is supposed to worsen) has been fairly accurate and works about 95% of the time, I'd say. As for the overall appearance: I am not crazy about the metal "wings" of this thing, which make it look bigger/wider than it really needs to be. Also, there are two "dummy" buttons at the bottom. Why? I have no idea. If you only need six buttons, you don't need to add two more fake ones just for looks. Also, the little feet that pop out for desktop use are pretty flimsy. Better to hang on the wall, in my opinion. [...]
Weather Station November 5, 2009 HHG This weather station works as described.
I really like it and use it every day to check the outside temperature before I leave for work.
It looks great on the fireplace mantel.
I can even read the numbers without my glasses.

Don't buy this product October 8, 2009 Stephen K. Kavanagh (Leverett, MA United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this product and installed it a week after I got it. Three days later we had a driving rain (winds 40+ mph) and the remote (external) sensor got wet from the rain. The sensor was under my deck about 6 feet above the ground. I called La Crosse, had to leave a message because their customer service lines are swamped. I also sent an e-mail.
The next day the rep called and told me their sensor are not waterproof! Imagine that, an external sensor and it is not waterproof. They refused to replace it, but offered to sell me another (not waterproof) sensor. Basically, they told me to drop dead.
Terrible company that is just fronting cheap Chinese products.
