Was skeptical at first; but, became a believer when deer and squirrels would not come within 50 ft. of unit. Saved our cherry tree!

Before we started using this product the deer were eating our plants. It was so irritating to look out and see that they had once again chewed all the leaves off our plants. After plugging this in, we haven't had any problems with the deer eating our plants. I have ordered another for the front area of our house. I recommend this highly.

Although this device does detect deer and it does sound the deer will completely ignore it unless they are 10 feet or less from the unit which makes the need for several of these to cover a large area. Also the high frequency can be heard by humans and the wind blowing trees will set this off.

The deer came right the next day after the device was installed and ate my knockout roses. And same thing happened after it was moved closer to the plants in hope of some improvement.

I have the Deer Gard affixed to the back of my house, and I have seen continuing evidence of deer presence. Plus, every time I walk by, there is an irritating chirp when the device recycles. I live in a residential neighborhood in Central New Jersey, and the deer are becoming more and more of a problem, due to some woods about 75 yards away. They gallop down the street in the wee hours of the morning and have a wonderful time, since hunting is not allowed and there are none of their natural enemies to cull the herd.
So, no, I am not pleased with the product, although the Amazon service (ordering and delivery) was good, as usual.
