It's easy to assemble (10 minutes tops) and sturdy enough for all shoes and boots; and the ability to fold up the rows not in use is nice. But for someone with a size eight-nine (women's) shoe, it will only hold 2-pair of shoes on each of the 12 rows.

This is exactly what I needed to organize all my shoes under my bed! It was easy to assemble and all my shoes are easily accessible and visible. I previously had a cloth type shoe organizer that I hated because I couldn't see all my shoes at the same time. What's also great is that you can fold up the bars to fit taller shoes like boots. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have tried to use other over-the-door shoe racks. The other shoe racks would come loose from the door & fall, dumping all of my shoes onto the floor. This was terribly frustating, not to mention frightening in the middle of the night.
This Whitmor Over-The-Door Rack accomodates 36 pair of shoes without boxes & stays in place. Wonderful, space-saving product! Just be sure that your door is wide enough to accomodate the product.

I couldn't even put this rack together. It kept falling apart. Some of the rods wouldn't fit the holes. I finally put it up but the rods keep falling. i wouldn't suggest amyone to buy this.
