I purchased this item for my mother-in-law (dangerous, I know). She sent a prompt note with glowing reviews. We had lunch recently and she wore it proudly. The chain is very distinct and the pendant itself is much larger than I imagined. Te back of the pendant is also very detailed and adds to the distinction. My only draw-back is that the color is much darker than I expected based on the picture. The bottom line is that she loved it!

The stone is very dark in this piece - it looks black unless you shine a bright light through it from the back. This, of course, is not something that will ever happen when wearing it around your neck. The worst part was the lower "basket" the marcasite was badly set and it looked like someone had tried to slopily glue the pieces in place after they had fallen out. The stones looked hazy and yellow and the whole piece just looks junky and cheap. The chain is fairly nice, but it doesn't mask the fact that the pendant is really of poor quality. I returned it.

I bought this necklace for myself thinking I would love it and was very so-so about it when I received it. I love the chain, the sterling silver and marcasite that the heart sits in, and the size of the necklace. It's definitely a bold piece and something that will get noticed. However, for the price, the stone itself was not up to standards. It is very "blah" so to speak. There's nothing special about it. It looks like just plain glass or even plastic. It's very thin as well. Everything else about the necklace was quality but the heart itself was just not. If I had spent a little less on this piece, I probably would have kept it and worn it, but I did end up returning it.

My Boyfriend got me this chain for Valentines day this year and I Just thought it was the most beautiful pendant I'd ever gotten as a gift, especially from a guy :) He just found it by chance by typing Amethyst (My birthstone) and heart on the Amazon search. The chain is pretty but too 'dressy' for daytime. So I just switched it to a plain silver chain. I am not kidding with you when I say that random people walk up to me and admire this chain everyday. The detail on it is so effective that it just draws people in. I love this necklace so much that I am going to buy another one for mu mother and sister.

This is a VERY beautiful, awesome necklace! The only thing that bothers me a little is how big it is. It's about an inch tall, and almost that wide. If
you like a larger medium size pendant, though, you'll probably like it. I love it 'cause it's so pretty, I wanna wear it more often!!!
