Product Description Enjoy your backyard safely without the worry of mosquitos. Effective against mosquitos and "Biting No See-ums." Continous use of the Lentek Mosquito Trap in one area can literally collapse and eliminate biting mosquitos in the area.
Amazon.com If relaxing or working outdoors where you live feels like killing time in a bug-infested torture chamber, the Mosquito Trap from Lentek may be your liberator. Powered by propane and electricity, the trap covers up to 3/4 of an acre at a time and runs for up to four weeks on a single tank of propane. Operating without toxic fumes, the trap uses a combination of carbon dioxide, moisture, color, airflow, and thermal imaging (simulated body temperature) to ensnare blood-sucking, egg-laying female insects. With use over time, the mosquito population in the area should markedly decline. Set up of the trap is simple, as is removing the dead bugs from their mesh capture chamber. Designed to be weather-proof, the trap includes three stakes for securing it to the ground. Keep in mind that the unit is most effective when placed 30-40 feet from the area you want to rid of mosquitoes, so it may require an extension cord or creative placement. Lentek also emphasizes that the trap is made for gradual, around-the-clock use, not for occasional or immediate extermination. Assembled, the trap stands 53-1/2 inches high and measures 18 inches in diameter at the base ring. It is UL-listed and comes with a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

Significant decrease in mosquito activity August 25, 2008 L. Rolph (Nashville, TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We've been using this product for about a month, and have seen a significant decrease in mosquito activity. I can water my plants without getting multiple bites, which a bit improvement
Great trap, but needs to be plugged in... August 15, 2008 Christopher Dons (Chicago, IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works as promised. User needs to remember that these things won't magically solve your mosquito problem overnight. If you are planning on just turning it on during a barbeque you will be disappointed. Works best by turning it on at the beginning of the mosquito season and let it run for as long as you can during the spring summer. One propane tank lasts over 3 weeks. Wish I had known it needed to be plugged in. Not a show stopper but is limiting for users that don't have electricity where they need this.
Works Great! February 1, 2008 Rita Adams (Bay Center, WA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
We set this up on a .85 acre property while building our home, as mosquitos can be a real problem in our area. Follow directions carefully for placement of the unit. We thought it worked great keeping those pesky skeeters off our construction crew. Remember, a tablespoon of dead mosquitos equals 800! It's the females that are drawn in, which cuts the breeding population down. Setting up the unit at the beginning of hatching is the best time, so put it out early and replace Octenol and netting in collection cup as recommended.
not enough protection November 10, 2006 bugged 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
We bought 2 of these to cover our rather large yard. Granted mosquito season was well under way BUT we didn't notice much of a change-even right next to the machine. WE gave it 2 months and found very few dead ones in the trap. I wish I could return it but I'm afraid too much time has passed.
Close to Mosquitoless in Wooster August 10, 2006 Christopher A. Seaman (usa) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I am very happy with our Mosquito Trap. We were unable to sit outside this summer, and after I hooked up the Trap, I was able to read the paper outside without getting ate up.
