Considering the name and reputation for "middle of the road" tools, this one is a little above the norm for Vermont American. I was skeptical but in need of a dado and this one was available with no waiting so.....the purchase was made. The balance is as good as any of the others I've owned and the teeth, being carbide, can be sharpened just as if it were any name. Good buy, especially when you consider the price. Great delivery time by Amazon/Home and Beyond also. Get one for yourself, you'll like it.
