Great Value October 23, 2008 R. Hansen (MN) These batteries are an excellent value replacement for my nearly 14 year old DeWalt originals - charge fast and hold up very well. Although there are the new lithium options, unless you require lithium performance, these bulk new batteries are a great replacement.
DeWalt DC9096-5 18V XRP Battery September 1, 2008 T. Sullivan (Boca Raton, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Dewalt 18 Volt XRP batteries at their cheapest prices. If you need several batteries you can beat the price on Amazon for the 3, 4, or 5 pack. Some folks charge more than buying a new one to pull the old batteries and replace the pack plus all the shipping for something that isn't light. These batteries have the Dewalt 3 year warranty, so if they go bad before then you can get them replaced. The cost was about $55.80 per battery, at Home Depot they get $89+tax for a single. The double pack that they get once in a while is $69.50 each + tax in our area. You just can't beat the Amazon price on these new Dewalt 18v XRP batteries!
MyToolPlace is not ToolKing August 15, 2008 George (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading the comment above, contacted MyToolPlace to confirm the batteries were new before ordering. The 5 that I got were new, undamaged and as promised. I had a similar problem with ToolKing as they sent several "reconditioned in Mexico" batteries and then tried to convince me they were new. Returned the ones to ToolKing and bought from MyToolPlace. These guys are the real deal. No complaints. The batteries may be a few bucks more, but they ARE ACTUALLY NEW!!!! Bottom line...if you want NEW 18V XPR Dewalt batteries, buy them from MyToolPlace.
New? July 26, 2008 Greg (Chicago, IL) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I ordered this item from Tool King which we have made several purchases from in the past. They list these batteries as new but "does not come in original package". I had no problem with this until they arrived with a good number of scratches on the bottom of the batteries. It seems to me that that the only way you get deep scratches in the bottom of a battery that only weighs a few ounces is by plugging it into a drill that weighs a few pounds. We called Tool King to complain and after 2 calls they finally agreed to send us another set. The next ones were less scratched, but still show more signs of wear than a brand new product that is only just missing the the package. I know that Tool King sells a lot of refurbished tools, we have bought drills from them in the past and had no problems. The problem here is that they're selling these batteries as new but they're either slightly used from tools that had to be refurbished or very badly mishandled to get such scratches. Again, I have no doubt the first batch they sent had been installed in drills for at least a short period of time, the scratches were just too deep (one even had paint on it from being rubbed against a wall while being used). So far the batteries are working fine, but next time I will only buy batteries that are still in its original packaging. I can't help but wonder if these ones will go dead sooner because they may have been used before we got them.
